Banned Books Week -- celebrate your freedom to read!

Banned Books Week is September 28 - October 4. Come to the library and celebrate your freedom to choose. We will have special displays at the library, and contests as well. If you would like to be one of our "inmates" in our crime scene display, contact Penny at the library.

We will also be creating a display of banned books in the window of Book World downtown. You will be surprised to see what books have been challenged or banned from libraries in America.

If you have questions about books, please come and talk to us about it. And please come to the library and "Join the Banned".

Hi Penny, I'm working on an assignment at UW Baraboo/Sauk County and I have just a quick question...
Do you have a list of banned books within the Baraboo School District or are books challenged and/or banned at the county or state level?

Thanks in advance.
