The Great Summer Teen Read-a-Thon begins June 14. Read anything you want -- just keep track of the time you read! Read ten hours and get your choice of a new book or a Papa Murphy's Pizza coupon. Keep reading, and get a prize lottery ticket for every two hours you read!

You can also earn prize lottery tickets by volunteering at the library or by completing bonus challenges. The more tickets you drop in the prize bucket, the more chances you have to win LOTS of GREAT PRIZES!!

The NEW Manga Madness!

We have changed our monthly MANGA MADNESS event. Now we will be meeting on the fourth WEDNESDAY night of every month. This event is open to high-school and college-age manga and anime fans. Middle school students may attend only if accompanied by an older teen or twenty-something. Attendees will decide what happens at these meetings, so come and enjoy sharing your love of manga and anime with others!

Library Legislative Day

On February 16, three Baraboo teens accompanied Penny to the State Capitol to meet with our legislators. We met with Representative Fred Clark, pictured here, Senator Luther Olsen, Senator Dale Schultz, and the administrative aide for Rep. Ed Brooks. We discussed the importance of libraries in our communities. We also toured the capitol building. We had a great time!

Teen Underground is now open!

Come and see our new teen space! It's bigger, it's better, and it's underground! Teen Underground is downstairs at the Baraboo Public Library. Besides books, manga and graphic novels, and a growing CD collection, you are going to find board games to play, comfortable couches to relax on, and plenty of tables and chairs for studying or hanging out. Soon we will also have an anime collection! It's all for the teens of Baraboo.... don't miss it!!
