Take part in the 2009 Great Summer Teen Read-a-Thon and earn book bucks to buy prizes!! Read-a-Thon charts are available at the library starting June 15. Count and record the number of minutes you read on your chart. It doesn't matter what you read: fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels, comic books, picture books, magazines, the back of a cereal box.... You can also count listening to audiobooks!! Just count your minutes!
For every 15 hours you read, you will get 100 book bucks to spend at our eBay Our Way silent auction in August. You can also earn book bucks by attending Teen Tuesday events and by volunteering at the library.
The top three readers for the summer get to accompany Penny on a book-buying trip for the library!!
If we can collectively read 250,000 minutes this summer, the library will purchase a fantastic collection of music CDs for the teen area.
So, start reading!!

Is Hannah Friedman coming ever?
I just finished Everything Sucks and it made me so happy I bought copies for all of my friends. Amazing YA book. Absolutely beautiful.
